Client Requirements
GunfirePFP, a division of The Gunite Group, sought our expertise after our successful collaboration on their branding, design, and print services. They tasked us with designing and developing websites for two of their group divisions. Their primary requirements were clear: they needed professional, contemporary websites that were easy to navigate. These websites had to strike a balance between maintaining a consistent brand identity within the larger group while also standing out as distinct entities.
My Role
In collaboration with the design team, I played a supporting role in crafting the initial design mock-ups. Our aim was to create visually appealing designs that were not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional from a development standpoint. User experience (UX) was at the forefront of our considerations as we meticulously mapped out the user journey throughout the website. We structured the pages in a manner that intuitively guided users to their desired destinations.
On the development front, our goal was to ensure that both the front-end and back-end of the websites were as user-friendly as possible. This approach was critical as GunfirePFP intended to manage and maintain the websites independently on a day-to-day basis. Using the advanced features offered by the Kadence plugin system, we implemented custom designs for various elements, such as post loops. Notably, we designed bespoke styles for the carousel and archive pages to showcase GunfirePFP’s news articles and case studies in an engaging manner.
